APCAM International ADR Summit & Award
APCAM proudly announces the first “APCAM International ADR Awards”. The objective of the Award is to popularise and implement high standards of professionalism among ADR professionals, ADR academics, ADR users and ADR researchers and to develop and consistently upgrade the quality of ADR. The Awards will honour all significant contributions working towards ensuring quality ADR services and for path-breaking innovations and partnerships.
There are 10 categories of APCAM Awards – Arbitrator of the Year, Arbitration Practitioner (Advocate) of the Year, Arbitration Law Firm of the Year, Mediator of the Year, Mediation Practitioner (Advocate) of the Year, Mediation Law Firm of the Year, Mediation Academic of the Year, Arbitration Academic of the Year, ADR University/ College of the Year and ADR User of the Year. The awards will go a long way in motivating ADR activists to join this movement for the overall improvement of research and development in the professionalism and credibility of ADR.
As you are aware, APCAM is a landmark initiative to create an international ADR centre by institutions from 8 countries in the Asia Pacific region. APCAM’s vision is to assist the international business community to resolve their international and cross-border disputes under a single set of mediation and arbitration rules and with a uniform fee structure, and to create a single panel of international mediators and arbitrators, with uniform accreditation, so as to establish the best-standards in professionalism and credibility, so that the business community gets unbiased professionals that resolve disputes in a timely manner, and thereby create a better business environment in the region. Setting the world of dispute resolution in a different path!
APCAM proudly announces the International ADR Summit in India at New Delhi during 6th and 7thof May 2023. This is an annual flagship conference hosted by all the APCAM Centres from India, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Australia, Indonesia, Thailand, South Korea and Nepal. The Summit will discuss positioning Asia-Pacific in the current ADR global environment, the impact of growing cross-border business within the Asia-Pacific region and the increased importance of institutional and professional cooperation and integration for growth.
Registrations and nominations for Awards 2023 are open to arbitrators, mediators, mediation lawyers, arbitration lawyers, mediation law firm, arbitration law firm, mediation academic, arbitration academic, ADR University/ College from all the APCAM member countries. The nominations are open from 25th February 2023, and closes on 15th April 2023.
The awards would be declared and the awardees honoured during the Award night scheduled on 6th May 2023 during the APCAM Summit on 6-7 May 2023 at New Delhi, India.
