BHUTAN ADR CENTRE AND OTHER JUSTICE SECTORS VISIT THAILAND ARBITRATION CENTER [THAC]
On September 5th 2023, at the BHIRAJ Tower, the Thailand Arbitration Center (THAC) has welcomed the Bhutan ADR Centre and other Justice Sectors on the occasion of their visit to Thailand. BHUTAN ALTERNATIVE DISPUTE RESOLUTION CENTRE was established and started functioning from 15th May 2018, and it defines as an independent body, having a distinct legal personality, and capable of doing all commercial related dispute through arbitration and negotiation. Bhutan is 151 states party in the New York Convention
THAC has presented the history, current status and future of arbitration in Thailand in this meeting, including Thailand Arbitration Act, the establishment of our center, the services we offer, as well as the challenges and way forward of arbitration in Thailand. Then there was a conversation about work cooperation both in Thailand and Bhutan ADR Centre and other Justice Sectors who attended the event. At the end of the event, Participants were taken to visit the THAC by looking at the case room, training rooms and ETC.
