THAC promoted knowledge of alternative dispute resolution in Phitsanulok Province
Since most people in Thailand do not have the right and accurate knowledge and understanding about alternative dispute resolution, THAC has therefore held a seminar program to disseminate knowledge, understanding and correct information regarding arbitration and conciliation. This seminar was held by THAC at Ruean phae Royal Park Hotel from 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM on 15 July 2020.
This event focused on creating understanding of alternative dispute resolution (ADR), such as arbitration and conciliation, which are voluntary dispute resolution systems based on the willingness of both parties. It is also a fast and flexible process which facilitates litigation for both parties. In the lecture session, several examples of disputes that used ADR were presented and this session has received a lot of attention from participants. There was also a question and answer session on the issues related to ADR in order to exchange knowledge.
In this seminar, THAC was honored by Asst. Prof. Dr. Sirichai Mongkongkeatsri, Dean of Faculty of Law, Bangkok University, and Mr. Chakatnit Junnaphat, Conciliator of THAC as the speakers on the topic “Arbitration and Conciliation”. With the feedback of this event, THAC expects that this would make ADR better known. In addition, the feedback from our colleagues are used to further develop THAC’s alternative dispute resolution services.
