Hot news: HB Entertainment is waiting for the Award before announcing the termination of Ku Hye Sun’s contract.
On 29th April 2020, HB Entertainment announced that following Ku Hye-sun’s “case”, it requested the termination of her contract. On September 11th 2019, she filed a request for arbitration at the Korean Commercial Arbitration Committee. HB Entertainment in its counterclaims requested compensation for damages due to her breach of the contract and the loss of trust in her. HB Entertainment stated that it won’t accept Hye Sun’s request to terminate the contract until she pays the fine for the damages caused to the company. For people wondering who is Ku Hye-sun, you probably are more familiar with her face as the female character “Geum Jan-di” of the series F4, the Taiwan version of the Korean series “Boys Over Flower”. She is also famous for playing the role of “Queen Yoon So Hwa” in the historical Korean drama “The King and I” On June 2019, Ku Hye-sun signed a contract with HB Entertainment, the same agency of her husband Ahn Jae Hyun, but after their divorce last August, she revealed her need to terminate her contract with the agency. However, since the arbitration is still in progress HB Entertainment is not able to provide information since the process is conducted privately. Information will be revealed after the arbitral tribunal renders the arbitral award.
