Shanghai International Arbitration Center visit THAILAND ARBITRATION CENTER [THAC]
On November 9th 2023, at the BHIRAJ Tower, the Thailand Arbitration Center (THAC) and Clyde &Co Thailand has welcomed Shanghai International Arbitration Center [SHIAC] on the occasion of their visit to Thailand. Shanghai International Arbitration Center [SHIAC] was Established in 1988, dedicated to actively giving full play to the important role of arbitration among diversified dispute resolutions and keeps devoting itself to building Shanghai to be the arbitration centre in the Asia-Pacific region and the world as a whole.
The visiting group consisted of experts from various departments. Mr. MA Yi, Vice Chairman of CCPIT Shanghai, Mr. ZHOU Pingfan, Deputy Director of Commercial Certification Department at CCPIT Shanghai, Ms. YANG Guang, Deputy Secretary-General at Shanghai International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (Shanghai International Arbitration Center), Mr. SONG Ruyi, Director of Case Filing Department, Shanghai International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (Shanghai International Arbitration Center. And Ms. LU Linghong, Staff of International Department at CCPIT Shanghai
THAC has presented the history, current status and future of arbitration in Thailand in this meeting, including Thailand Arbitration Act, the establishment of our center, the services we offer, as well as the challenges and way forward of arbitration in Thailand. Then there was a conversation about work cooperation both in Thailand and SHIAC who attended the event. At the end of the event, Participants were taken to visit the THAC by looking at the case room, training rooms and ETC.
