THAC built knowledge on conflict management and resolution in Phitsanulok Province
On 16-17 July 2020, Thailand Arbitration Center (THAC) hels a Conflict Management Program for the government sector at Ruean Phae Royal Park Hotel, Phitsanulok Province. The program was honored by Ms. Wanitcha Sumanas, Conciliator of THAC as the main speaker, and Miss Leela Ketkhunthot, Legal Consultant, the Arbitration Division of THAC as the assistant speaker in this training program.
This Conflict Management Program was based on THAC’s vision in raising awareness about the alternative dispute resolution for the government, private agencies and the public with the objectives to provide knowledge and create understanding of basic conflict management among the participants and understanding of dynamics of conflicts, including communication tools and techniques, in order to reduce conflicts and to reach a mutual benefit in a win-win situation for both parties.
The content of this training consisted of explanation of different types of alternative dispute resolution procedures, advantages of alternative dispute resolution such as arbitration or conciliation, which is a flexible, convenient, faster and standardized process and has been continuously increasing in popularity at international level.
The atmosphere in this workshop was full of determination and enthusiasm, demonstrating the interest of all trainees who were ready to build good relationships in order to reduce conflicts and apply knowledge gained effectively.
