THAC Organized a Seminar on Drafting an Arbitration Agreement to Push For an Arbitration Both Online And Offline.
On April 8, 2021, Ms. Machimdhorn Khampiranont, Deputy Director of THAC, presided over the opening of the seminar on “Drafting an Arbitration Agreement”. The objective of the seminar was to assist participants in easily resolving their conflicts and to implement drafting techniques with their actual business contracts. The seminar was held at the Thailand Arbitration Center Head Office located on the 26th Floor of the Bhiraj Tower Building (EmQuartier). The seminar was attracted interests from many participants.
The seminar by THAC’s “Drafting an Arbitration Agreement” is aimed at those interested in arbitration, legal professionals, business person and entrepreneurs to gain the right knowledge and understanding and be able to effectively draft an arbitration agreement as an attachment to their business agreements. The seminar also introduced contract clauses as another tool that will help participants to easily resolve disputes. In this seminar, THAC also invited the experts as our speaker; Prof. Vichai Ariyanantaka, a panel arbitrator at THAC, and Mr. Nikki Balani, senior legal advisor at SCL Nishimura Co., Ltd., to give a lecture and detailed explanation of the process. The seminar is also honored by Mr. Ekasit Sutawat, senior lawyer at DLA Piper (Thailand) Co., Ltd., who acted as the seminar’s moderator.
A large number of interested participants registered for the event, which required THAC to open additional rooms and also broadcasted live via online media for those who unable to register. Throughout the seminar, there were questions and answers between the participants, the remote audience, and the speakers, resulting in a cordial atmosphere and full with knowledge.
