THAC organizes focus group to push for alternatives dispute resolution on family cases.
On March 25, 2021, Mr. Pasit Asawawattanaporn, Managing Director of THAC, and his team, held a focus group meeting to exchange ideas on the proposal for alternatives dispute resolution on family cases, at the Thailand Arbitration Center Head Office located on the 26th Floor of the Bhiraj Tower Building (EmQuartier).
The meeting was held to exchange ideas and information between the Thailand Arbitration Center, the Central Juvenile and Family Court, the Office of the Standing Directorate Central Juvenile and Family Court, the Department of Women’s Affairs and Family Development, Rights and Liberties Protection Department, and the attorneys for mediation and dispute resolution at Tilleke & Gibbins International Limited. Special focus was given to the alternatives dispute resolution on family cases to enable THAC to bring the knowledge, opinions, and experience from the meeting’s participants and apply them to cases that the Center has been assigned to.
At the meeting, the Center also brought forward its knowledge on alternatives dispute resolution through means of mediation and arbitration to the participants. This was to enable the participants to foster a better understanding and apply the content, knowledge, and experiences, that were exchanged in the meeting to their respective organization in order to maximize efficiency in the resolution of disputes. Additionally, it was also to advocate for alternatives dispute resolution on family cases, both domestically and internationally.
THAC is pleased and sincerely hopes that the focus group with regards to alternatives dispute resolution on family cases, will be able to solve and reduce disputes that may arise in the future.
