THAC Signs Memorandum of Understanding with BAIAC to Strengthen International Arbitration Collaboration
On November 21, 2024, the Thailand Arbitration Center (THAC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Beihai Asia International Arbitration Centre (BAIAC). The MoU was signed by Mr. Suriyapong Thabtimtae, Director of THAC, and Professor Steve Ngo, President & Executive Director of BAIAC, with the aim of enhancing arbitration cooperation between Thailand and Singapore. The collaboration focuses on promoting arbitration as a key mechanism for resolving international disputes.
This partnership aims to develop arbitration-related activities such as seminars, workshops, and knowledge-sharing initiatives in both countries. It also includes facilitating the exchange of arbitrator rosters between the two organizations and offering special rates for hearing room facilities in Bangkok and Singapore.
The collaboration between THAC and BAIAC reflects the commitment of both organizations to promoting arbitration as a vital tool for resolving international disputes. It also seeks to expand regional and global arbitration networks, fostering broader cooperation in the field.
