The Thailand Arbitration Center (THAC) is pleased to announce the creation of two Panels for arbitrators.
The Thailand Arbitration Center (THAC) always aims to provide better alternative dispute resolution services in compliance with the highest international standards. Accordingly, the THAC has decided to create two Panels for arbitrators: (1) THAC Panel of Arbitrators and (2) THAC Distinguished Panel of Arbitrators. Each Panel has different qualifications and requirements to be met, as set out below.
1. For empanelment in the THAC Panel of Arbitrators:
1.1 Tertiary education.
1.2 Knowledge, expertise and experience in a professional field that could be useful for performing arbitrator’s duties.
1.3 Fellowship or similar accreditations from professional membership organisations in arbitration.
2. For empanelment in the THAC Distinguished Panel of Arbitrators:
2.1. At least aged 35.
2.2. Experience as an arbitrator in 10 or more cases and the amount in dispute shall be at least 10 million baht, or
2.3. High level of experience or knowledge and expertise in academics that are useful for performing arbitrator’s duties
The Committee will consider applications for the Panels every three months (January, April, July, October) of each year. The empanelment lasts for 3 years.
Candidates wishing to apply for one of the THAC Panels, must demonstrate an appropriate level of expertise and experience in international arbitration and be of good standing and character.
