Welcome to Thailand, THAC had the honor to welcome IDE-JETRO.
On January 8th 2024, at the BHIRAJ Tower, the Thailand Arbitration Center (THAC) has welcomed the Institute of Developing Economies (IDE-JETRO). IDE-JETRO is a part of the Japan External Trade Organization, a statutory organization for trade and investment promotion under the Ministry of Economy and International Trade.
THAC has presented the history, status and future of arbitration in Thailand in this meeting, including Thailand Arbitration Act, the establishment of our center, the services we offer, as well as the challenges and way forward of arbitration in Thailand. The team that visited the institute was consisted of
1. Ms. Sawako Hirai, a professor of criminal law, the Faculty of Law, Seinan-Gakuin University, Japan.
2. Ms. Nao Otomo, a lecturer of the Global Education Center, Waseda University, Japan
3. Mr. Shinya Imaizumi, a senior research fellow, the Institute of Developing Economies (IDE-JETRO)
4. Mr. Thasanai Chaiyakweang, Lawyer
