ADR for Logistics: Solving Every Limitation, Resolving Every Dispute
On April 5th, 2023, THAC held a launch event of the Thailand Logistics ADR Center (TLAC), along with a seminar titled “ADR for Logistics: Solving Every Limitation, Resolving Every Dispute.”
The seminar was honored by the presence of Mrs. Wallapa Stirachavarn, President of the Thai Federation on Logistics, Mr. Kongrit Chantrik, Executive Director of the Thai National Shippers’ Council, Mrs. Noppramart Thammateeradaycho, Lawyer at Tilleke & Gibbins International Ltd., and Ms. Petchlada Phungprasert, Legal Counsel at THAC. The seminar was moderated by Ms. Cholticha Sombatmongkhon, founder and managing director of LEXELENCIA COMPANY LIMITED.
The discussion focused on the importance of alternative dispute resolution in the logistics industry, which is a complex and detailed business. With the help of experts overseeing the dispute resolution process, all parties involved can benefit, and the business can continue to operate while also maintaining good relationships between parties.
Regarding the launch of the Thailand Logistics ADR Center (TLAC), it was honored by Dr.Chaichan Chareonsuk, Chairman of the Thai National Shippers’ Council (TNSC), who conferred about the establishment of the center. Then, Mr. Wanlop Nakbua, Deputy Permanent Secretary Ministry of Justice, gave a speech that launched the TLAC event.
In summation, the establishment of the Thailand Logistics ADR Center (TLAC) aims to promote a seamless and fair operation of transportation and logistics businesses.
