THAC Signs MoU with SAGE MEDIATION to Enhance Cooperation in Alternative Dispute Resolution
On October 3, 2024, the Thailand Arbitration Center (THAC) and SAGE MEDIATION signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the THAC headquarters in Bangkok. The ceremony, held from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM, marked the beginning of an important collaboration between the two organizations aimed at promoting academic cooperation and enhancing alternative dispute resolution (ADR) operations.
The MoU was signed by Mr. Aloysius Goh, Chief Executive Officer of SAGE MEDIATION, and Mr. Suriyapong Tubtimtae, Managing Director of THAC. The cooperation focuses on a variety of initiatives, including seminars, academic conferences, personnel development, and other activities related to ADR, with the shared goal of improving the accessibility and effectiveness of dispute-resolution services.
Ms. Pannapas Methinsasivich, Counsel of THAC, served as the Master of Ceremonies, warmly welcoming the distinguished guests. Among the attendees were THAC executives, including Ms. Machimdhorn Khampiranont, Deputy Director of THAC, and Mr. Nicky Balani, Director of Arbitration & Mediation Department (International).
Mr. Goh highlighted the importance of the partnership, emphasizing that this collaboration will pave the way for meaningful advancements in ADR, benefiting both Thailand and the broader international community. Mr. Suriyapong echoed these sentiments, expressing optimism about the potential for future developments and increased cooperation between the two institutions.
The MoU signing ceremony concluded with high hopes for the success of the joint initiatives and an expanded role for both organizations in promoting ADR practices on a global scale.
