US-based startup introduces an online litigation platform to help settle lawsuits.
Prosecutions, regardless of the country in which it takes place usually take a long time to settle. An American startup has come up with an innovative idea in opening up an online
litigation platform with a guarantee that it can provide savings of more than 90% from the usual time and money spent.
The original litigation procedure in the US usually takes an average of 17.6 months due to the large number of lawsuits filed in the United States, totaling approximately 19 million cases per year, with litigation costs averaging up to US$1 million, or more than 30 million baht.
New Era ADR, a new Chicago-based technology company, has launched the first virtual reality litigation platform, which is expected to resolve business disputes within 100 days and be used for any business size. They hope the platform can save up to 90% of the usual time and money spent.

Additionally, New Era ADR views that litigations usually put businesses at risk and impose a tremendous cost. The vast amount of documents and years of the trial is also a hindrance to business operations. Therefore, a user-friendly online platform was created to connect businesses and individuals with the most experienced arbitrators and mediators in the United States, combined with the certification of the ruling that is fair and fast, was the most logical thing to do.
New Era ADR was founded in 2020 by a team of tech industry veterans and a team of attorneys with more than 10 years of legal experience. The startup was able to raise US$1.5 million in pre-seed funding. Mr. Collin Williams, President and founder of New Era ADR, views that dispute resolution processes in the 21st century should not take years as in the past, and the solution should be supported by technology to assist plaintiffs and their attorneys in finding solutions without wasting time.
Mr. Rich Lee, CEO and co-founder of New Era ADR said that the company was working towards resolving issues that affect countless businesses that are stuck in litigation in the US, with more than 19 million cases annually. Nobody has ever created a platform that focuses on effective and fair business dispute resolution before.
Thailand has already implemented an online dispute resolution platform. The agency that provides such services directly is the Thailand Arbitration Center or THAC. The Center
directly provides dispute resolution options and has been utilizing an online dispute resolution platform extensively over the past few years. The Online Dispute Resolution System, or ODR, has been widely accepted in domestic and international disputes. Positive feedbacks have indicated that the platform can effectively help shorten the processing time, save money, is more convenient, and faster than previous procedures.
