
THAC organize a role play for dispute resolution when being cyberbullied

Thailand Arbitration Center (THAC), led by Mr. Pasit Asawawattanaporn, THAC Managing Director, realizes the importance of the cyberbullying’s problem and organized a role-play seminar on “Ending the problem of cyberbullying with Alternative Dispute Resolution” on 10th November 2020, in order to reinforce the knowledge and understanding in Alternative Dispute Resolution with 7-step mediation and role-playing on actual stories, at Thailand Arbitration Center at BHIRAJ TOWER 26th floor (EMQUARTIER).

Many legal experts joined the role-playing seminar on the topic “Ending the problem of cyberbullying with Alternative Dispute Resolution”. These experts are Ms.Pichaya Thammapitakkul, the Lawyer at Somnuk and Suthee Law Firm ( acted as the mediator ); Ms. Parinda Veranuwat, Director & Consultant at Innervoice Co., Ltd (acted as the disputing parties); Mr.Thak Kasemwannakorn, Lecturer, Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences, Phranakhon Rajabhat University (acted as the disputing parties); Mr.Tewan Utaiwat, Senior Commercial Manager at Christiani & Nielsen (Thai) PCL (acted as the lawyer;) and Mr.Kamol Tanjinwattanakul, the Consultant at Thai Legal Law Firm ( acted as the lawyer).
Using the famous case of a Thai actor who was attacked through online social media as an example, the seminar then emphasizes the separate meeting and lawyer role in mediation to visualize and promote comprehension for all attendees
The attendees, who are the general public and representatives from the public and private sectors, have gained knowledge and comprehension in mediation. Moreover, they also understood the mediator’s role and the 7-step mediation, which comply with Thailand Arbitration Center’s rules, to resolve cyberbullying problems. The event had a question-answer session with an intense exchange of ideas; the overall atmosphere was lively.
